Yeah I know….. its hard not to do a “Flashback Friday” and not include Blink….

These guys are still our homies and good friends. Yeah Atticus is a lot different now compared to back when it started but hey look back and compare yourself to today. Things change and evolve for a reason. People stay true to their roots and ideas but guess what!? You grow older everyday. Atticus has grown up but we still love our pop punk and dick & fart jokes just the same. We just have a better back catalog of them.

Ok lets get right into the thick of it. While scanning through the old hard drive for what to post for Blinks “Flashback Friday” we found this pic.

Remember this era of Blink? I pulled up the Mete Data on this pic…. 28th of May 2003!

Tom in the classic Ali track jacket that is going to be dropping back into the line. And Mark in the Cursive t-shirt. Some of the stories from this era we have are just out of control. Mainly from touring with Blink around the world and going absolutely wild where ever we went. I think its for some story time…..

So one one tour with Blink we had the booths setup. Atticus, Macbeth, and FSAS (run by Little Chris! R.I.P brother) at the venue to give out promo, stickers and just to be a general pain in the venues ass. We where into the tour a week or so and ideas for getting kids to do things for free gear was getting low. The “emo” fringe era was alive and kicking and some of these kids had been working on them to get them just right for the tour. A light flicked on to see if we could get a kid to cut his fringe off with our scissors for some free gear! After a few attempts along come this guy who is willing to step up to the plate and snip his off! A crowd gathered to see this guy snip his oily gelled down banana fringe. SNIP! off it came! The crowd went wild and everyone cheered him…… BUT! Along comes the girlfriend with a soda and some fries that she had just bought.  Tears start rolling down her face and she starts screaming at him that doesn’t he realize that they have there school prom the next week!

This guy had a hair cut that looked like a 5 year old how had tried to cut his hair! We felt pretty bad but damn it was funny! So they left with arm fulls of free gear but we also had this pile of hair sitting on our desk… what did we do next? mwahahaha! Ill let you all know that side to the story another time.

Sit back and flash back to these days of old with BLINK 182!!!!!

2012 welcomes in the 7th annual Slam Dunk Festival, back to the regular North and South locations of Leeds and Hertfordshire Universities.

In the past, Slam Dunk Festival has played host to some of the rock worlds favourite acts including Paramore, New Found Glory, Fall Out Boy, You Me At Six and many more.  It can also lay claim to propelling the careers of the likes of Young Guns, Lower Than Atlantis, The Blackout and We Are The Ocean.

This year looks set to be no different with a first round of bands being announced today! Taking Back Sunday are the main stage headliners over both days.  Their return see’s them do their first headline UK show of the year (and a Slam Dunk UK festival exclusive) with the original line-up:

We can’t wait to head over to the UK to play Slam Dunk Festival.  It’s a bunch of great bands, some we’ve played with and others we have not, so it’s gonna be cool getting to see and meet everyone. Hope to see y’all there!” Adam Lazzara of Taking Back Sunday.

Slam Dunk also plays host to the only UK shows for the Every Time I Die /  Cancer Bats / Set Your Goals and Make Do And Mend tour that hits Europe earlier in the month.

There will be more exciting announcements to come from the world of pop punk, rock and punk over the coming weeks.  Promoter Ben Ray who started this in 2001 has seen the festival grow over the years; “Again this year it’s been hard work, but I’m extremely happy with how the lineup is shaping up so far. Here are just 10 bands out of over 50 artists, so I’m confident the festival can again deliver a lineup of bands that everyone will agree is amazing value. I also thought it was extra important this year to demonstrate the value so tickets have been frozen at 2011 prices!”

TUNEY TUESDAYS – PURE LOVE

February 15, 2012

February 14th is valentines day, so we hope that you spent it with someone special.

A lot has been talked about Pure Love lately. The new project from ex Gallows singer Frank Carter. Some people where up in arms with him deciding to part ways with Gallows, but everyone has their choice to do what they please. The internet was a stir when Pure Love announced that they where going to be playing their first show on valentines day at Bush Hall in London. No one had heard anything from the band other than intros and even a sneaky clip here and there, but nothing along the lines of a full song.

PL surrounded themselves with loads of imagery and some interesting press shots that you can see on their blog. Personally i think this was great way of introducing the band, to set the fans up in a more visual mind set instead of a sound based judgement.

But regardless the first show that PL played tonight was sold out and no one had even heard a song! Well done guys!

A few clips have popped up online already so check these clips and make your call on Pure Love. Its going to be an interesting ride and im sure the internet will have something to say about them. Good or bad…. I think PL will be around for a while.

This week we have a new old style for Merchandise Monday.

Over the years we have produced a basic polo with simple branding that has been loved by everyone around the world. Now as we progress with better items and figuring out better ways to produce garments we are proud to give you the Classic Polo.

But this isnt the Sant you may say… what we did though is improve it! We adjusted the fit to be more classic and as well we have added our new bird branding. The new bird is a heat pressed stitched woven badge that is super slim and is super clean.

Make sure you check out the long sleeve versions as well that are new to the line! The Classic Polo is only available on the webstore and as well our Melrose Ave store in Los Angeles.

If you want to know anything about touring you need to look at Every Time I Die. These guys are one of the hardest working bands on the road today. They have a great mindset and with this new album Ex Lives coming out March 6th, its really going to show it!

They have a huge touring scheduled booked along side the whole Vans Warped Tour this summer in the US. Check these dates on the flyer and see if you can make it out to some of the shows.

The new album is going to be such a banger! This is a track off Ex Lives, TURN IT UP LOUD!!!!
